Close to 1,100 of the season’s expected 1,800 King salmon (also called Chinook) perished, Alaska Public Media (APM) reported. “I was shocked to see the numbers of fish that we lost,” Fish and Game biologist Doug Fleming told the Associated Press….Also, hundreds of rainbow trout (above) and grayling died after being moved to a Fairbanks, Alaska, lake that was the wrong temperature. (Roger Tabor/USFWS). I don’t buy the heat argument they blamed it on
