Unexpectedly, a strong non-thermal character of biological effects of RFR has been documented. As low as 0.1 µW/cm2(0.0001 mW/cm2) intensity of RFR and absorbed energy specific absorption rate, (SAR) of 0.3 µW/kg were demonstrated to be effective in inducing significant oxidative stress in living cells.
Searching for the cause of sea ducks’ dire health
Thousands of their carcasses have been found floating in the cold water off Cape Cod or rotting on beaches. Many more of the birds have been found emaciated, exhausted, and suffering, often near death.
In recent years, a mysterious virus has taken a mounting toll on the region’s common eiders, a normally bulky sea duck considered a barometer for the health of Cape Cod Bay.
More recently, the disease, which was identified in 2007 and has since been dubbed the Wellfleet Bay virus, has been found in other species.

“the electromagnetic radiation standards used by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continue to be based on thermal heating, a criterion now nearly 30 years out of date and inapplicable today.”
The Department criticized the Federal government’s proposed procedures for placement and operation of communication towers, and called for “independent, third-party peer-reviewed studies” in the U.S. to examine the effects of cell tower radiation on “migratory birds and other trust species.”
